Forex Trading Expo Versus Currency Trading Expo
By Marc Prosser | September 4, 2007
FXCM’s Currency Trading Expo (www.fxcmexpo.com) and Intershow’s Forex Trading Expo start on the same day.
September 15th. However, the two shows are completely different.
The Currency Trading Expo is in
The Forex Trading Expo is really an expo. There probably will be an area with 20 or 30 exhibitors; almost all trying to sell you something. In fact, I believe most of the free “educational” workshops are really paid for by the speaker (or firm related to the speaker). The money for the workshops in many cases is paid for by the speaker selling you a product or service during their presentation. There is nothing wrong with this but, the show as a result has a highly sales oriented tone.
The Currency Trading Expo is not an expo. Originally, the currency trading expo had lots of exhibitors. However, FXCM felt this took away the focus from the educational workshops. Kathy Lien, Rob Booker, and Boris Schlossberg will all be speaking at educational workshops.. There about 18 free workshops over the course of one day. There a workshops for New Forex Traders, experienced forex traders, and everybody in between.
